Great lively atmosphere inside and out with a lot of people around and was the busiest in the area. I was got chips and guac to start and was quick but service was slow. We waited a minute for just straws. That would've made it five stars. Enchilada were loaded and the taco was hard taco which surprised me but still was delicious. My mom got a fajita bowl and my dad got a fajita but it's the spot to be in old town.

Where is must go in Old town? Cafe Coyote! It starts with there lay out. Various dining rooms with unique vibes. Sweat ladies on every corner making fresh tortillas in front of you and for you to take home. Margaritas! Oh yes this has the best.. Sized up and heavier pours than other places I've tried. Chips n Salsa and all menu items, fresh and cominhg out of their several kitchen areas quicky. This is my first stop when ever I am in town.

The line for Cafe Coyote was down the sidewalk today, not surprised, but we were seated relatively fast. The restaurant was BUMPING with lots of people and generally the atmosphere was nice! I've been here a couple times in the past and the drinks are usually good (didn't get some today, unfortunately). Went with the Shrimp Taco (A La Carte) and the Carne Asada Tacos (A La Carte). Shrimp taco? Phenomenal. The sauce, the shrimp, just about everything about this taco was perfection with every bite. Carne asada taco? Not too phenomenal. The flavors were ok but was a little watery which is odd since usually carne asada is grilled? (Not a taco connoisseur - clearly). It wasn't grilled meat - juicy, it was flat top saute watery. The portions were big, at least, and service was good. Pretty attentive waiter and items arrived fast. Points docked since we asked for the waiter's recommendation and got a blurb of not-useful information. Not too favorable if even the waiter doesn't have something positive to say about any of the dishes standing out to them. Will questionably come back for the drinks, the Shrimp Tacos and other dishes, but hard pass on the Carne Asada Tacos. Overall rating: Food: 7/10 Service: 9/10 Menu: 8/10 Restaurant Vibes: 9/10 Price to Overall Dining (POD): 8/10

This restaurant is fun and has a great atmosphere. It's more geared towards tourists but I do love it and come eat here when I am in old town. Every now and then they make chocolate and strawberry tortillas, which are pretty unique. So l do recommend this place to tourists for that reason. Apparently though, they don't make these year round as when we ate there they said they are seasonal and weren't making them til spring. So I am now writing the review in hopes it's now time for them to make a come back. I requested to order an extra side of tortillas but unless l ordered a meal where it came with them, they were already close to selling out so l couldn't get extra. I did get two and they were good. I usually end up ordering the carnitas and thats my stand by order at most Mexican restaurants. They aren't dry and that is the best. No one wants to eat dry carnitas. On my most recent visit we had family in from out of state and we ate here. I ordered the birria at the suggestion of the server, and it was also delicious. It is indeed beef and not goat, which is also traditional. Try birria if you like pulled pork. It's slow roasted and very tender here.

At the front, there is a lady hand-making tortillas and a line just to order them by the dozen! There is a second line to get seated. Luckily, I didn't have to wait as I arrived there earlier than most. They have a lot of seating and the whole restaurant was filled; I'm impressed! I also appreciated the color interior & patio areas. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with rice & beans and a michelada. The enchiladas were filled well with chicken. I appreciated how authentic the meal was. The michelada was a bit diluted though. It could use a better portion of the michi mix. I enjoyed the Tajin rim on the cup though! Overall a good meal & I will come again

Their food was amazing! You can see chefs cooking your food from inside which is awesome! The feeling of the restaurant is also modern Mexican and they had great service even though they were busy. The staff answered all our questions and offered recommendations which were delicious!

Food was excellent, Cadillac margaritas right down the street from Best Western Hacienda the best
